Pastor Author, pastor, faith-healer and a television host Chris Oyakhilome (also known as Pastor Chris) is the creator of LoveWorld Incorporated. The business, also called Christ Embassy is located in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique interpretation of God’s Word has inspired thousands across the world.

Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He is the eldest of three sons who was born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several best-selling gospel singers.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father’s example of sharing the Word of God to all people. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and is a part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he earned an BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. Additionally, he holds an honourary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. When he was still in university, The Man of God established what would later become one of the largest churches worldwide. He began a small prayer group called “Youth for Christ” that would eventually grow into the most popular group of its kind on campus. This could also be the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers across the world.

Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become an innovator in satellite TV and Christian television programming and production. LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks throughout the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria. The ministry also runs two Healing School in South Africa, Canada and the United States. Pastor Chris leads seasonal sessions, in which miracles are possible.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral part in worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is trained and overseen by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singers have successful solo career.

The Future African Leaders Foundation is an organization that is continuing the inspirational work of Pastor Chris. It’s focused on developing and recognizing young leaders, and training them to be successful in the coming years. Pastor Chris invests in the youth of today to prepare them for the future of leaders.
