NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals in Israel from the United States in July and august. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s 13% increase over 2019.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic there was a record-breaking number of tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.
Canada is set to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May, the country has already seen more than 600,400 US visitors.
