NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% growth over 2019.

“It is thrilling to see yet another rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Canada is set to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May this year, the country has already received more than 600,400 US travelers.
