NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, “It’s so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers month after month; We’re extremely pleased to witness an improvement in the trend and anticipate a steady upswing for the years and months to follow.”

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 tourists in August, isn’t far behind the United States.
